Reign; Season 1, Episode 3

 
At first, I thought the episode was boring.... well, that was my initial thought but after about 20 mins
of watching I was like oh wow, oh my gosh!! lets get started with the movie!!
 
When news arrives that English soldiers are amassing near the Scottish border, Mary asks Henry for military aid but is refused. Mary tries to negotiate a deal for troops with the visiting Prince Tomas (Manolo Cardona) of Portugal. Tomas(very cute by the way) proposes to Mary, promising military aid and an immediate wedding, which Francis cannot give her( I knew Mary also liked Tomas but she couldnt admit it immediately because she is still attracted to Francis).

 

Mary tells Francis of Tomas's proposal, which prompts Francis to blackmail Henry (the King), threatening to tell Catherine and Diane of his new affair with Kenna (Mary's friend). Henry is pleased by Francis's initiative and agrees to send six companies of troops to Scotland. Bash rides out to deliver the orders to the troops but returns gravely wounded( Francis apologizes to Bash but his father says it is not right as a king to apologise.... true or nah?); someone warned the English, who ambushed the French troops before they could set sail.

 
A distraught Francis kisses Mary for the first time and tells her to marry Tomas for the sake of Scotland. Mary accepts Tomas's proposal, and Tomas sends a ship of his men immediately to Scotland. Well, they kinda looked cute together.

By the way, Francis was introduced to Mary by one of her friends, who later got heartbroken seeing Tomas with Mary... she (the friend) later got a vision from someone that she will fall in love with someone else not Tomas and she truly did.
